New school washrooms delighted children with “Magic Taps”

Ysgol Y Bynea is a primary school situated in the village of Bynea between Swansea and Carmarthenshire. The current building opened in 1976 and is in a picturesque position surrounded by playing fields and countryside. The head teacher at the school told us that they pride themselves in having firm foundations and high standards in all areas of their students school lives. This meant that high quality school washrooms were paramount and Bushboard Washrooms were happy to help.

The quantity surveyor, Daniel, from TAD Builders chose our Tiny Stuff toilet cubicle range due to the age of the children using the washroom facilities. Featuring anti finger-trap hinges, no headrail and low overall heights as standard. This allows easy supervision whilst also making this range safe, durable and fun. Choosing from Bushboard’s 34 standard laminate colours, the school opted for alternating Bright Red and Cobalt doors with Bleached Oak partitions and pilasters.

We supplied the school with our Ready Plumbed Ducting and Vanity Units which means that the units are delivered ready to install with a carefully selected range of Sanitaryware and brassware fitted to the panels and pre-assembled in our factory. Daniel commented that “Bushboard provide a first rate service and quality products and together with the ease of installation it makes my job and that of our site team that much easier.” The duct panels sit behind the cubicles with a matching laminate design and were fitted with our schools WC which is designed specifically with smaller children in mind. To work with the tight space available, the vanity unit was pre-fitted with SanCeram semi-recessed basins so the underframe takes up less space. Semi-recessed vanities are perfect for younger children to allow them to reach the basin and paired with sensor taps allow for easier hand washing.

The head teacher at Ysgol Y Bynea feels that school washrooms are important to the children and need to be a colourful and pleasant space and believes that Bushboard’s products “fit the bill perfectly”. The washrooms had great reviews from children and staff with one little girl telling her teacher when asked if she liked the new school toilets “we have even got magic taps!”
